PASSING ON NEEDLEWORK SKILLS

Passing on Needlework Skills

Hand embroidery is an easy and pleasurable skill to learn. I learned to embroider when I was a little girl and all you need is your needle and thread, fabric, and scissors. Hand embroidery is a unique, personal, creative and very human art.

Check out these Surprising Health Benefits of hand embroidery –

  • Increasing confidence, promote a sense of accomplishment.
  • Better Coordination
  • Lower your heart rate and blood pressure
  • Training the brain.

PASSING ON NEEDLEWORK SKILLSYes, “Anytime is stitching time” a way to reset. Crafting is so satisfying! You are giving your mind a proper chance to relax and enjoy. The most relaxing thing you can do for yourself, pick up your handwork, make your own art.

PASSING ON NEEDLEWORK SKILLS

Design your own paper patterns first. There are no rules on what paper to use for sewing patterns, all you have to do is trace and stitch. The patterns are easiest to trace on a lit window, a light table or TV screen.(You can use, pencil, Hera marker, chalk or fabric washable pen.)

This is a gorgeous, original design, vintage handmade item, pillowcase and tablecloth. The needlework edging is wonderfully done. What an Inspiration!
