Brownie with Frozen Yogurt
This recipe couldn’t be easier and sometimes, that’s just what we all want. Brownie with frozen yogurt is rich, creamy, and tastes pretty delicious.
Servings: 8
INGREDIENTS
20 chocolate graham cracker squares, (made into crumbs)
3 egg whites
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoon firmly packed light brown sugar
½ cup hazelnuts or walnuts, finely chopped
4 strawberries sliced
1 pint vanilla nonfat frozen yogurt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Spray a 9-inch pie pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form (5 minutes)
With the mixer at medium – high speed, gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form (3 minutes)
Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the cracker crumbs, nuts and vanilla extract until just blended. Scrape the mixture into the pie pan. Bake (about 25 minutes) until firm and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a rack.
Spread the frozen vanilla yogurt (slightly softened) over the pie, cover until yogurt is very firm. Serve with a handful strawberries on top and Enjoy.
NOTE
- Homemade Frozen Yogurt can be made with any yogurt you prefer, and yes you can freeze Greek yogurt! Greek yogurt will freeze just fine.
- If you’re looking for good nutrition and probiotics, the regular yogurt is the best choice, if you’re looking for a frozen dessert, then the frozen yogurt may be better than ice cream.
