Myth# 1. Acne is cause by dirt!?
Dirt does not cause pimples. Pimples occur when pores become clogged with oil. Some people have more “oily” skin than others.On the other hand, excessive washing can dry and irritate the skin, harsh soap will not wash away your acne.
Myth# 2. Acne is cause by the foods you eat!?
Eating chocolate and pizza will not cause acne-be aware that other factors can aggravate an acne outbreak.
Myth# 3.Acne will go away on its own!?
It’s true many breakouts will heal, a pimple will last from one to four weeks, but it will go away. In the recent years more people have turned to natural remedies and one of the most successful so far has been found in Australian tea tree oil for acne a natural antibacterial ingredient to help control acne.
The way tea tree oil actually reacts – It kills bacteria and germs and cleans pores and reduced breakouts just as effectively as the benzoyl peroxide but with fewer side effects.
Myth #4.Sun light helps acne!?

-rub a peeled slice of potato gently over fresh washed skin
-dab small amount of toothpaste on blemish at night before going to bad.
-apply aloe vera. One study found that 90% of skin sores were completely healed with aloe vera within few days
-wrap an ice cube in soft cloth and hold it to blemish for a few minutes every hour.
-for acne that flares at that time of the month, drink 1 or 2 cups of chasteberry tea daily.
-combine 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of honey, for 20 min. then wash it off.(honey does have antiseptic properties)
-think ZINC -people with acne tend to have lower than normal zinc levels. Check with your doctor.
– try a multivitamin and mineral supplement which is low in iodine.
-eliminate processed food.
-drinking grapefruit juice can encourage healthy skin
The percentage of benzoyl peroxide ranging from 2.5 – 10%, don’t be fooled by numbers, 5% works as well as 10%.

– Heat some lemon juice,(barley warm), add two egg whites. Mix it well, until it forms thick paste. Store this cleanser in the refrigerator.
